Pendant of a Clavus
The "Pendant of a Clavus" by an unknown artist shows a frayed rectangular patch with a figure. The patch is stitched on to a background of woven beige fabric. The patch depicts a figure with a rounded face outlined in black thread. The figure has a white face. The body of the figure is shades of brown outlined in black with white accents. The figure wears a brown tunic with a red sash across the body on the left. The white hands are positioned one on either side of the body. The figure appears to hold something white. The body is framed on the left and right with a curved and square border of various patterns and motifs in brown, red, white, black, green and blue on beige background. The border around the edge of the patch on all sides apart from the top appears to unravel. The top right corner shows unraveling threads in blue, green, beige and red. The background fabric extends beyond the patch on all sides.
