The coin is round and made of a dark metallic material. The coin features an owl, depicted in profile view facing to the right. The owl has large round eyes with vertical pupils encircled by feathers; its beak is small and hooked. Two wings are visible on the left side and the owl has two legs with two toes pointing forward and two backward. There are Greek letters on the right side of the coin.
