Velvet Fragment by artist unknown. The rectangular piece of fabric measures approximately 2:1 length to width ratio. The fabric is predominantly off-white with a dense, intricate pattern of dark purple shapes resembling animals, foliage, and flowers. Yellow, blue, and pinkish-beige colors are visible in parts of the design. The right edge shows a contrasting green and beige striped band. The left edge displays remnants of a yellow and black patterned fabric. The background behind the fabric appears to be a light-colored, textured surface. The corners are slightly curled and the edges are rough.
