

Ritual Drum (damaru)
The Ritual Drum (damaru) is a double-sided object with a wide, shallow top and a rounded base. The top has a wide mouth and a narrow base. The object has a brown color with darker brown and black spots and patches. There are lighter brown and white patches on the lower half. A beige fabric or leather band wraps around the middle. Two cords with oval-shaped weights are attached on either side. The background is gray and white with a shadow cast to the right.
