Bridal Robe (Hwarot)
The Bridal Robe (Hwarot) is a traditional Korean garment. The robe is open at the front and has wide, short sleeves. The robe's background is predominantly a faded orange-brown color with intricate patterns of flowers, leaves, and geometric designs in shades of red, white, green, blue, and yellow. The robe features a central panel with a repeating pattern of lotus flowers and leaves. Narrow strips of solid-colored fabric in red, blue, and yellow are on either side of the central panel. The sleeves and hem of the robe have a cream-colored fabric with a repeating pattern of red flowers and green leaves. A small, looped handle is at the bottom of the robe's central panel. A piece of white fabric is at the top of the robe's central panel, folded into a curved shape. The robe is on a gray background.
