Ornamental Capital
The "Ornamental Capital" by an unknown artist is a small, ornate piece made of bronze or brass. The object is roughly cylindrical and features a flat top with a decorative lip around the edge. Protruding from the top are two scroll-like volutes on either side. Below the volutes are carved acanthus leaves and what appear to be flowers or other foliage. The base has a decorative edge with a repeating pattern resembling leaves or scales, tapering to a narrower base. The entire piece exhibits a weathered patina with darker tones suggesting age and wear. The background is a gradient from dark at the top to light gray at the bottom.
