Stocking by James McNeill Whistler. A cream-colored, knee-high stocking made of ribbed fabric with small, evenly spaced blue dots. The toe and heel areas are plain cream-colored. The stocking is lying flat with the toe pointing towards the bottom-left corner. The fabric appears slightly wrinkled and has a few creases. The background is a plain light gray color.
