The Crucifixion by Albrecht Dürer depicts a crucifixion scene in a circular frame with an irregular octagonal border. He has a halo around his head and sun rays emanate from behind him. To the left is a man with a halo and wings, dressed in a robe and holding his hands together. Beneath him, a man kneels with his hands clasped and a skull at his feet. On the right side are two women with halos, dressed in long robes, with their hands clasped in prayer. The background is dark with sun rays emanating from behind the crucified man. The artwork is in black and white.
