The image depicts a landscape with a ruined circular temple in the center. The temple has a portico with six columns. A large rectangular ruined building with a flat roof is behind and to the right. Three women in long dresses sit on the ground in the lower right-hand corner. Two of them have their heads covered. A man on horseback with a blue tunic rides away from the viewer to the left of the temple. There are low mountains and a cloudy sky in the background. The image has been drawn with watercolor and colored pencil on beige paper.
