Tobacco Pipe

Cleveland Museum of Art

The title is "Tobacco Pipe" by artist unknown. Long, thin, curved object, likely a pipe. The pipe has a dark brown wooden stem, approximately two-thirds of the way down from the top. Attached near the bottom of the dark stem and on the top is a lighter brown wood. The pipe bowl at the end is made from a rough, dark brown material. The pipe bowl curves down and to the left. Three metal bands are wrapped around the pipe. The metal bands are positioned on either side of the seam where the light and dark wood meet and one on the very end of the pipe. The background gradates from black at the top to dark gray at the bottom with the pipe casting a shadow to the right.
