Fragment of a Reliquary Bag, Byzantine. Torn rectangular piece of fabric with frayed edges and several holes. The fabric has a repeating pattern of dark shapes on a lighter background, including rounded triangular shapes pointing downwards in the top row and rounded triangular shapes pointing upwards in the bottom row. The shapes contain various designs such as geometric patterns, crosses, and what appears to be a plant. The fabric is primarily shades of brown, with some darker and lighter shades. The background the fabric is mounted on appears to be an off-white canvas or similar material.
