The coin is circular and made of dark metal, possibly silver or copper, with a worn and aged appearance. The coin has a raised edge with small lines around the circumference. The top of the coin has the word "MASSACHVS" in raised letters, with some letters difficult to make out. The center of the coin features a tree, likely a pine tree, with the Roman numerals "XII" underneath. The bottom of the coin has more raised letters, but they are difficult to decipher. The coin is standing on its edge, casting a small shadow on the surface below. The background is a plain gray surface, with a darker gray gradient at the top.
