Swallow on Flowering Peach Branch

Cleveland Museum of Art

The painting depicts a swallow on a flowering peach branch. The swallow is on the left side of the image; it has a white chest, a brown and black head, a brown spot on its neck, and black tail feathers with yellow sides. The branch it sits on has pink flowers with green leaves and grows from the bottom left; it extends toward the right. There are two sections of the branch with flowers; the top section is to the right of the swallow and the bottom section is below it. A red seal is on the bottom right. The background is aged light brown paper with darker spots; the edges are rough.
