The woman's hair is dark and styled up; a light stick is inserted horizontally in the back of her hair near the top, with a fan extending back and to the left; another light stick lies flat across the back of her head. The woman's kimono has a pink and white patterned section on the left and a red section on the right near the bottom; a thin black line descends from her kimono on the left. The woman's left hand holds an object to her lips. The woman's right hand holds a thin black stick. Japanese writing appears on the right side. The background is tan and aged.
