Candle Bracket Pair

Cleveland Museum of Art

The Candle Bracket Pair by an unknown artist features two identical gold-colored candle holders. The holders have a central rod with a pinecone on top and two curved arms extending from the center, each with a goat's head at the top and a candle cup at the end. The arms are decorated with leaves and flowers. A long, thin piece of metal extends from the bottom of the center rod. The background is a gradient from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom. The two candle holders are side by side. They are symmetrical and appear to be made of metal. The metal has a shiny, gold finish.
