In the foreground, numerous individuals are dressed in formal clothing, including men in wigs, coats, and pants, and women in dresses. Some people wear masks. The scene appears to be a ball or party. At the bottom of the image, there is text written in French, which includes the words "LE BAL MASQUE" and "Fetes donnees au Roi et a la Reine, par la Ville de Paris".
