The Raising of Lazarus
The Raising of Lazarus by Marcantonio Raibolini. A rectangular bronze relief depicting a biblical scene. The artwork features a cracked and worn gold-brown patina. A thick dark wooden frame surrounds the relief. The relief shows Jesus Christ standing on the right side raising his right arm and pointing to a man emerging from a tomb on the center-right. The man, Lazarus, is wrapped in cloth and assisted by two men. A group of onlookers surrounds them, some with expressions of surprise, others concern. The background on the left features buildings with spires and an archway through which a figure exits. A tree with a gnarled trunk is on the right. The panel's surface is cracked in several places.
