The man, Lazarus, is wrapped in cloth and assisted by two men. A group of onlookers surrounds them, some with expressions of surprise, others concern. The background on the left features buildings with spires and an archway through which a figure exits. A tree with a gnarled trunk is on the right. The panel's surface is cracked in several places.
