Book of Hours (Use of Rouen): fol. 133v

Master of the Geneva Latini

Cleveland Museum of Art

A page from an illuminated manuscript with text in black and red ink. The text is written in an old language, likely Latin, in a formal calligraphic script. The text fills most of the right side of the page and a small section at the bottom of the left side. The left side of the page features a decorative border with intricate designs, including flowers, leaves, and gold filigree. A large blue and gold curvilinear design extends from the bottom to the top of the border. The border contains blue, green, yellow, red, and white colors. The background of the page is off-white with some discoloration and staining. A small section of decorative text or initials is located at the bottom of the left side.
