Book of Hours (Use of Rouen): fol. 14v

Master of the Geneva Latini

Cleveland Museum of Art

The image shows an illuminated manuscript page. A vertical column of decorative text and illustrations is on the left, with the rest of the page filled with text. The decorative column is about one-third the width of the page and contains a blue, gold, and green curvilinear design with red flowers at the bottom. The design starts as curvy blue lines with golden embellishments at the top and morphs into leaves and flowers down the column. The rest of the page is filled with black text that appears to be written in Latin. A few words are written in red ink. The text is arranged in two columns. The background of the page is off-white and slightly yellowed, with some darker spots and lines visible, suggesting age.
