The upper band features a geometric pattern. The handle is in the shape of a dragon's head and body, which wraps around the ewer. The dragon's head is on the right side and its body curves around to the front. The ewer's base is also octagonal and has a curved edge. The background is dark at the top and fades to light gray at the bottom.
