Silk Fragment by an unknown artist is a red silk fabric with a floral pattern. The fabric features a dense arrangement of colorful flowers, leaves, and stems in shades of pink, blue, green, yellow, and gray. A large flower is centered on the fabric, with curved branches extending upwards and outwards on either side. Smaller flowers and foliage are scattered throughout the fabric. The edges of the fabric are rough and frayed. The background of the fabric is a solid red color. The overall design suggests a 18th or 19th-century European textile.
