Monster Caryatid
The stone sculpture titled "Monster Caryatid" by Auguste Rodin depicts a muscular male figure with a large head. He has short hair and appears to be straining. The figure is carved in relief on a brown-colored stone block. He has one knee on the ground and his arms raised. The left arm is bent upward at the elbow while the right arm is bent downward at the elbow. A portion of the stone block at the bottom appears to be decorated with curved lines. The background behind the sculpture fades from dark at the top to light at the bottom.
