Page from Tales of a Parrot (Tuti-nama): text page

Basavana

Cleveland Museum of Art

A page of writing in a book. The writing is in Arabic script and appears to be black ink on beige-colored paper. There are two thin red lines around the edge of the paper, one close to the edge and one about one centimeter in. There are several lines of text, each one written horizontally across the page. The text is written in a flowing script with some decorations. There are some small marks and stains on the page. At the bottom of the page, there are two rectangular sections of text, one on the left and one on the right, separated by a blue curved line. The text in the rectangles appears to be the same script. The overall appearance of the page suggests it is an old manuscript.
