The text is surrounded by a thin black border with blue, red and black floral designs in the top and bottom margins and along the outside edges. The floral designs consist of vines with leaves and small five-petaled flowers. Four square designs are on the right-hand page, two at the top and two at the bottom. The designs are formed of red, blue and black lines in geometric patterns. The book has a brown leather binding that is worn and shows holes along the edges.
