Master of the Brussels Initials and Associates

Yellowed parchment page from a medieval manuscript book. The top and bottom edges of the page are rough and uneven. The right page edge is visible and lightly illuminated. The majority of the page is filled with a column of text written in brown ink. The text is written in an old language and is divided into sections by colorful decorative borders. The borders are decorated with geometric patterns and shapes in red, blue, and gold. A large blue and red initial letter is on the left side of the text. The page is framed on the right and bottom with a border of blue and black curving vines with flowers and leaves. The border features a green and pink dancing jester wearing a red hat on the right side. The jester holds a blue object in their raised right hand. The border also features two hanging bells, two birds, and a third bird perched on the bottom. The bottom of the page features a red mantle or cloak with a pink hat. The page number '140' is written in the bottom right corner, and '279' is written in the top right corner.
