Master of the Brussels Initials and Associates

The image shows an open book with yellowed pages. The right page has a vertical rectangle with a gold border near its left edge. The rectangle frames black text arranged in paragraphs. The text includes several colorful geometric designs used as paragraph separators and initial letters. The page is bordered on three sides by a decorative design consisting of a blue vine with stars; the bottom and right borders also feature a sprinkling of colorful bells. The bottom border includes an illustration of a green figure in a green shirt and red hat riding a pink or purple dog towards the left. The right border features a bird perched on the vine. The bird is facing left and wearing a blue hat with a green band and a blue and green outfit; it has a long red feather on its head and holds gold reins in its beak. The left page is partially visible on the left edge and appears to be text only. The pages are slightly worn and show signs of age. The background behind the book is gray.
