Master of the Brussels Initials and Associates

Illuminated manuscript page with text written in brown ink. The page has a large T-shaped initial with blue and gold border filled with red and blue. The T-shaped initial is decorated with several colorful rectangular bars of varying sizes. The text is written in a Gothic script and occupies the right side of the T. A blue rabbit-like creature with a long red and white tongue and a red horn on its head faces left. The creature holds a white flower with a green stem in its mouth. The border on left and bottom of the page contains a tree with green leaves and brown vines decorated with numerous shields of various colors. The tree has a green dragon or lizard climbing up the left side. The tree has two birds perched on branches; one on upper left, one on lower right. The background is beige parchment. The right edge of the right page is visible.
