Covered Tureen in the Form of a Turtle by artist The covered tureen depicts a turtle. The body is brown with a lighter shade on the bottom and darker on top. It has a large shell on its back that serves as the lid. The shell features alternating sections of dark and light-brown glazes, resembling a real turtle shell. The head protrudes from the front of the body; it is brown with a light-colored mouth and white eyes. Three legs are visible on each side of the body. Atop the shell is a small knob with a green base and brown designs. The background is dark gray near the top and light gray near the bottom.
