Verica Stater: Sunken Tablet (obverse); Horse and Rider (reverse)

Cleveland Museum of Art

Two bronze coins side by side on a dark gray background. The coin on the left is slightly smaller and shows a raised design. The design depicts a bull with a large hump on its back being attacked from the right by a lion-like creature; the creature has its mouth open and appears to have one claw extended towards the bull. The creature has a tail with a tuft on the end that curls up and over. The bull has a curved line on its forehead and a large ball-like hump on its upper back. The bull's head is turned to the right. There are small decorative dots along the edge. The letters "R T" are visible at the bottom. The coin on the right has a raised rectangular design with a semi-circle on top. The rectangular design contains the letters "C A R E".
