The coin is circular and gold-colored. The obverse features a crowned bust of a woman facing forward. She wears a crown and a dress. The outer rim of the coin has a raised border with a bead pattern. The words "ELIZABETH REGINA" are inscribed along the top half and "D:G: ANG: FR: ET HIB: REG" along the bottom half. The center of the coin features ornate designs, including a shield. The coin rests on a gray background. The Sovereign of Thirty Shillings was created by Elizabeth I.
