The coin is circular and gold in color. The coin has a raised edge with small dots around the perimeter. The outer edge of the coin has a raised inscription that reads "H I R E X F I D E F E N D I T" at the top and "C I V I T A S L O N D O N" at the bottom. Inside the outer edge, there is a circle with raised designs on either side. Inside the circle, there is a large shield with a cross in the middle, dividing it into four sections. The shield has different designs in each section. The top of the shield has a crown. The background of the image that the coin is on is dark gray.
