Incense Burner: Jizhou ware

The Incense Burner: Jizhou ware is a dark-colored, ceramic vessel with a wide mouth and a short, everted rim. The body is bulbous and rounded with a slight narrowing at the top. It has three short, tapering legs. The surface is dark brown to black with a glossy finish, and there are some areas where the glaze appears uneven or burnt. The interior of the vessel appears to have remnants of material, possibly ash or incense residue. The background is a plain, light gray color.
