Medal of French Republic by Oscar Roty. Circular, bronze-colored medal with a raised relief image of a standing woman with both arms raised above her head, the left arm bent at the elbow, palm forward and fingers spread, and the right arm extended straight up with the hand formed into a fist. She wears a short skirt gathered at the waist and has short hair. Her feet are planted apart with the right foot slightly behind the left. The background of the medal is flat and smooth with no other features.
