Virgin and Child in an Architectural Frame

The sculpture depicts a woman and a child sitting under an architectural frame. The frame is made of white marble and features intricate carvings. Two columns on either side of the frame support a pediment adorned with carved figures. Two male figures are positioned on the exterior of the columns, their bodies wrapped in cloth, with their arms stretched up holding the frame. The woman sits on a balcony-like structure with a railing, wearing a dress, and has her hand on her ear. The child sits to her right. A procession of people on horseback is carved into the lower section of the frame. The background is a gradient from black at the top to gray at the bottom.
