The monkey on the left is looking to the left; it has dark fur on its back and light fur on its stomach. The monkey on the right is looking straight ahead; it also has dark fur on its back and light fur on its stomach. Red-leafed plants grow around the base of the cliff. A small section of another cliff is visible on the bottom left. The background of the painting is off-white. The painting has a thin black border and a thicker tan border. Vertical Japanese characters and a red seal are on the right side.
