Jean Bourdichon

Cleveland Museum of Art

The image shows a page from a book with a large illustration on the left and text on the right. The illustration depicts a standing man with a long white beard and a red hat. He wears a red robe with a brown collar and blue sleeves, and holds a gold object in his right hand. The man's left hand is on his chest. The background of the illustration shows a blue sky with trees and hills. The text on the right is written in black ink and features colorful decorative letters and lines. The text is in Latin and appears to be handwritten. The page has a yellowed appearance with visible signs of aging. A large decorative letter "M" is at the top of the text.
