Tea bowl

Cleveland Museum of Art

The Tea bowl by Shofu is a ceramic bowl with a light-colored glaze and visible speckles. The bowl's body is predominantly a light beige or cream color, with splotches of pink. The base of the bowl is a solid light pink color. The base of the bowl is short and wide, curving smoothly into the body. The inside of the bowl is glazed and lighter than the outside. A dark shadow appears behind and under the bowl against a gradient background that is dark at the top and light at the bottom. The bowl's overall shape is rounded with a wide mouth. The background is a gray gradient. The image presents the bowl from the front at a slight angle.
