The head is turned to the left with the mouth and eyes curved into a smile. He appears to have a few facial wrinkles. A vine with green leaves stretches from the upper left corner across the bottom right corner behind the man. The background of the painting is tan, the borders are green with a gold pattern. There is a vertical line of black Japanese characters and a red seal on the lower right.
