Cloth of gold with winged lions and griffins

Cleveland Museum of Art

Golden-colored fabric with a repeating pattern. The pattern consists of circles with two creatures with wings and a beak-like face inside; the creatures face each other. The creatures have large wings on their backs, curved beaks, and curled tail feathers. The circles have a floral pattern in the background. There are four circles fully visible and parts of circles at the top and bottom. The fabric is rectangular with frayed edges and appears to be made of silk or a similar material. The fabric by Nicholas Roerich. The fabric title is "Cloth of gold with winged lions and griffins".
