The obverse side shows a depiction of Apollo standing with one hand raised. Writing encircles the edge. The figure is nude. The raised right arm is bent with the hand near the shoulder. The left arm hangs down and the left hand grasps a tree branch or small tree trunk. The tree branch/trunk descends vertically to the bottom edge. The figure faces the left side. The right leg is straight while the left leg is slightly bent. The coin shadow falls to the lower right. The background behind the coin is light gray.
