Trivet

Clara Wolcott Driscoll

Cleveland Museum of Art

Round, flat trivet with a mosaic design. The mosaic is circular with a spiral pattern in shades of blue, purple, green, and gold. The spiral pattern starts from the outside and moves inward. The mosaic is made up of small, irregularly shaped pieces of glass or stone. The colors transition from blue and green on the outside to purple, blue, green, and gold towards the center. The gold pieces form flower-like shapes. The mosaic is surrounded by a thin, dark brown metal rim. The background behind the trivet is gray. The trivet was created by Clara Wolcott Driscoll.
