The people are dressed in 17th-century clothing, with men wearing hats, loose-fitting shirts, and pants. Some of the men are leaning over or bending down. On the right side of the image, another group of people are standing, one holding a long gun and accompanied by a dog. Nearby, a horse-drawn cart is positioned with its horse facing left. The entire scene is rendered in pencil on a piece of aged paper with darker spots and lines visible throughout.
