Pierre Biard the Younger

Cleveland Museum of Art

Black and white drawing of a male nude with curly hair and a beard. The man is sitting on a block with his right leg bent in front of him and his left leg bent behind him. His right arm is bent at the elbow and his hand is touching his right knee. His left arm is behind his back. He has a cloth wrapped around his waist and over his left shoulder. The drawing is on a beige background with darker shading around the figure. There is a small rectangle with diagonal lines at the bottom of the block. There is cursive writing at the bottom of the image. The drawing style is highly detailed and realistic. It depicts a famous sculpture, "Ignudo", created by Michelangelo, reinterpreted by Pierre Biard the Younger.
