Leaf from a Missal: The Crucifixion (recto)
The image depicts a crucifixion scene with Jesus on the cross and two other figures. Jesus is centered, on a green cross; his arms are outstretched, nailed to the cross. His loincloth is white with an orange hem; blood flows from a wound on his right hand. Two angels are flying above the cross, each with wings outstretched. The two other figures stand to either side of Jesus, behind the cross; both are dressed in white. The background of the image is blue with a small orange border around the edge and tiny orange flowers; the image is set against a beige background which appears to be parchment. The overall image is framed by a beige border.
