Black and white engraving of a large statue of a nude male figure with curly hair, and drapery over his left shoulder and wrapped around his waist. The figure has his right arm extended out to the side with palm down, and his left arm extended out to the side with fist clenched. The statue stands on a base with a carved decoration on its left side. A smaller engraving of a man sitting on the ground with a hat on and writing on a piece of paper is to the bottom right of the statue. The background is a wall with shading. The statue's base has the text "APOLLO PYTHIUS". There is small text at the bottom of the image.
