Text, folio 144 (recto), from a Gospel Book with Commentaries

Cleveland Museum of Art

Text, folio 144 (recto), from a Gospel Book with Commentaries: An open book with yellowed pages, featuring handwritten text in gold ink on the right page. The text is written in a language that appears to be Greek. The handwriting is in a flowing script and fills most of the page. The page has visible signs of aging, including discoloration, staining, and wear along the edges. Two holes are visible on either side of the page, possibly from where the book was once bound with string or leather thongs. The left page is partially visible, showing a continuation of the text. The book appears to be old and well-worn. The background behind the book is dark gray.
