Candlestick

United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing (“Shakers”)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Metal candlestick with a wide, flat base and a tall, narrow cylindrical body. The body has a small lip at the top and a small protrusion on the side, about halfway down. The metal appears to be weathered and has a dark color with visible spots and marks. The background is a plain surface with shadows cast by the candlestick.
