Side Chair

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Dark brown wooden chair, Side Chair, by an unknown artist. The chair has a tall back with a curved top and spindle sides. A central oval-shaped piece connects the spindles. The seat is rectangular with a beige fabric stretched over it. The chair has four tapered legs with decorative turnings. Two stretchers connect the front and back legs. The chair appears to be old with some wear on the wood and fabric. Gray background.
