The Dower Chest by unknown artist shows a rectangular, dark-colored wooden chest with a flat top. The chest has a raised panel on the front with three sections of white inlaid designs on a darker background. From left to right, the sections show: - an ornate floral design with illegible text above - a floral design featuring a woman's face - another floral design with more illegible text above. The right side of the chest features a white star inlaid design on a darker background. The chest sits on short legs and has two drawers below the main compartment. The entire piece appears worn with visible signs of aging.
