Glass Globe

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Glass Globe by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The image shows a black and white photograph of a lamp. The lamp has a central column with vertical ridges, ending in a decorative base. Six curved arms extend from the top of the column, each holding a frosted glass sconce. The sconces are cylindrical and taper outward. The sconces have a decorative pattern etched into them. Above the sconces, centered on the lamp, is a large frosted glass globe. The lamp is on a flat surface in front of a plain wall. The overall design of the lamp is ornate.
